Artist's Background

Throughout my life, Kansas has been home to me. I have always had a love for the outdoors. The subtleness of the Kansas landscapes, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and spring thunderstorms always present a sense of creativity. I received my education at Bethel College in Kansas and spent 40 years in the building industry as a career. In 2010, my wife Sherry and I retired to a cabin we built in Colorado. I have always enjoyed the beauty in Colorado.  I love the mountains, streams, high mountain lakes, and aspen forests. I enjoy the challenge of painting the works of nature in both Kansas and Colorado. I use acrylic medium to convey my vision of what I see. I have exhibited my work in galleries in Kansas, Colorado, and Utah.
